Join us for a discussion of what this looks like for the individual artists and what it means for the Commonwealth’s economy writ large. This convening will feature a keynote panel discussion with policy experts, advocates, and individual artists who will discuss what it means to be a “creative gig worker” and the implications it has on the state.
Expected speakers include:
• Doug Howgate, President, Mass Taxpayers Foundation • Sara Hartmann, Program Director of Creative Entrepreneurship, Mass College of Art and Design • And more!
After the speaking program, all are welcome to visit a break-out room:
1. Grants for Creative Individuals – Learn more about this new grant program to support creative expression, providing $5,000 grants to artists, culture bearers, and creative individuals in all artistic/creative disciplines 2. Local Cultural Councils – Members of our Communities Team will provide an overview of LCC Program grants and a Q&A for Local Cultural Council members
